Steven Bayliss , Deputy Head of Operations - IP & Compliance, Oxford University Innovation
Before moving to Oxford University Innovation in January 2007, Steven was Records Manager for Mathys & Squire Patent Agents in London. Steven’s career in Patent & Licence administration began in 1988 with Exxon Chemical Limited.  Steven subsequently worked in a number of roles within Patent Practises and in-house Patent Departments as well as being an implementation consultant for several database vendors serving the IP industry.

Dev Narasimhan, Patent Portfolio Manager, CoMotion at University of Washington
Dev Narasimhan is a registered patent attorney (70,051) with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Biomaterials and Cell and Tissue Engineering. Dev also has extensive experience as an in-house attorney, where he worked with inventors and stakeholders to obtain global patent protection and counseled on patent matters. Previously, Dev worked at a law firm  specializing in patent prosecution, where he drafted patent applications, responded to office actions, and consulted with inventors and clients in technologies pertaining to databases, telecommunications, and mechanical devices. In his spare time, Dev likes to play soccer, ride his mountain bike, take walks, and play board games.

James Pinyerd, Senior IP Counsel, SRI International
James Pinyerd is Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at SRI International providing support for commercial and government agreements and venture licensing deals. He also advises the business on open source and data management and trademark portfolio development. Prior to joining SRI, James served in a variety of roles at Rolls-Royce Corporation, including Intellectual Property Counsel for Rolls-Royce North America and Legal Counsel and Commercial Manager for Rolls-Royce Defense (U.S.). Before Rolls-Royce, James worked in law firms negotiating license agreements, prosecuting patents and trademarks, and supporting litigation involving intellectual property matters. James has a J.D. from Indiana University and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University.
