Bruce Wu is Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Sestina Bio, a company that is developing a platform for automated synthetic biology to help sustainably feed, clothe, and treat the world's population. Previously, Bruce was Vice President, Partnerships and Intellectual Property at Nutcracker Therapeutics, a company that brings the combined power of high-tech engineering and advanced biotechnology to synthesize RNA therapeutics.  Prior to Nutcracker, Bruce was most recently Director, Global Intellectual Property at Illumina, Inc., and before that patent counsel at HP, Inc.  His experience also includes roles at the international law firms of Foley & Lardner and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.  Bruce was an adjunct professor of IP law of the MBA program at George Mason University.

Bruce earned a Ph.D. and an M.S., both in engineering, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a B.ASc. from the University of Toronto, and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
